How it works
Electrostatic forces that adapt to shape.
EasierGrasp is OmniGrasp’s electroadhesion grasping platform. At its core is a soft, monolithic, electrically driven gripper: a thin membrane with interdigitated electrodes that, driven by electrostatic forces, zips onto the object, conforms to its shape, and establishes large-area contact. The lifting force is transmitted to the robot arm through a central pillar.
The result is a single technology that grasps flat and curved objects, smooth or rough surfaces, holding payloads up to 1.5 kg while drawing only 1.5 W. No pumps, no vacuum infrastructure, no noise, and no marks left on the object. Where conventional suction is bulky, loud, and energy-hungry, electroadhesion is compact, silent, low-power, and intrinsically gentle.
